Bret D. Hammond, AIA, ASLA
Principal
As founding Principal of Hammond Design Group, LLC, Mr. Hammond serves as Principal in Charge for major institutional projects for education and government clients. He has a comprehensive responsibility for project direction including client liaison, contracts, design, production of documents, and construction administration. With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of building design and construction, Mr Hammond brings strong design and management leadership skills to the firm.
His most recent projects include:
- Wakulla Bank Corporate Headquarters, Crawfordville, Florida
- Angelo and Son Seafood Restaurant, Ochlocknee Bay, Florida
- Ft. Mose Museum and Visitor’s Center, St. Augustine, Florida
Mr. Hammond received a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida and a Masters of Architecture from Florida A & M University. Professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA).
Rhonda Hammond
Associate
Rhonda Hammond serves as Project Manager and Production Coordinator for major institutional projects for education and government clients. She has a comprehensive responsibility for project production in design, production of documents, and construction administration. With over 15 years of experience in all aspects of building design and construction, Rhonda brings strong design and management leadership skills are an asset to the firm.Rhonda leads the firm with her proficiency in the technological aspects of production.Her most recent projects include:
- Angelo and Son Seafood Restaurant, Ochlocknee Bay, Florida
- Sharkey’s Capital Café, Tallahassee, Florida
- Ft. Mose Museum and Visitor’s Center, St. Augustine, Florida
Rhonda received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Bachelor of Architecture, both with high distinction, from Florida A & M University. She was also inducted into the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society for Architecture and received the AIA Honor of Merit Distinction.
Matthew C. Phelps
Associate
Mr. Phelps currently serves as an associate for Hammond Design Group, LLC. Matthew is experienced in all aspects of design, production of documents, and construction administration and is especially gifted in graphics and architectural rendering. Some of his renderings include hotel, large office, residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.Matt is currently co-planner/designer of a 200-300 ft. pedestrian bridge project on an uphill site located at Florida Caverns State Park.His most recent projects include:
- Extreme Wings Restaurant
- Sharkey’s Capitol Cafe
- Building Program for DMS Carlton Building
Mr. Phelps received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Bachelor of Architecture both with high distinction from Florida A & M University.
